We are seeking to establish a pool of Teacher - Arts for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

Yanchep Secondary College (SC) provides young people in the Yanchep area with a high quality, comprehensive education. Yanchep Secondary College opened in 2018 in a brand new purpose built school. We offer a broad, high-level curriculum encompassing academic programs and vocational courses to provide students with opportunities to pursue learning interests that inspire and challenge them.

We enrol students from year 7 to year 12. Yanchep SC contains a commercial kitchen and cafe and an arts centre for visual and performing arts. The school is designed to give students access to specialist subject teaching and the best learning practices to promote success and excellence.

The Role

Suitable applicants should ideally have proven abilities in learning program planning and instructional practice to facilitate improved student outcomes. We are seeking teachers who are ideally strong team players who support improvement in teaching and learning in a Senior High School environment. You should model a culture of self-reflection and engagement in coaching that promotes your professional growth.

Suitable applicants should ideally have effective interpersonal skills as you should be working collaboratively with the Arts team. Effective classroom management, the ability to differentiate curriculum to cater for individual student needs, and capacity to promote an environment of active and positive learning are also highly desirable.

Experience or knowledge of teaching Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) level Arts will be highly regarded, as will the capacity to teach gifted and talented students.

Suitable applicants would be highly motivated, student focused and able to provide engaging, relevant and meaningful Arts learning experiences

Eligibility

  • hold an eligible teacher qualification and registration.

  • consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit before you start.
