Western Australian College of Agriculture (WACoA) – Cunderdin provides Year 11 and 12 students with a unique educational experience focused on innovation and excellence. The College is located adjacent to the Wheatbelt town of Cunderdin, 160kms east of Perth. The Role

WACoA - Cunderdin is seeking to appoint a highly skilled and motivated Agriculture Teacher to deliver Senior School General and ATAR Agriculture courses.

The successful applicant should exhibit the capacity to utilise and embed the college’s extensive commercial facilities, enterprises and programs within their programs and link concepts with real-world application. Our College is a ‘Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Enterprise School’ and the successful applicant will lead and promote agricultural sciences within the college.

As a highly skilled Agriculture teacher, you would cultivate a culture of high expectations and display a commitment to excellence by applying a range of pedagogies and utilising data to inform planning. The successful applicant will ideally be flexible, adaptive and reflective in their practice to support professional growth and improve educational outcomes for students.

The role requires a culturally responsive educator, possessing high level interpersonal skills and an ability to work collaboratively as part of a diverse and dedicated team. The ability to differentiate curriculum and utilise explicit instruction as part of our Whole College Instructional Model will be essential. We highly value applicants with an ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with students, supporting them to achieve their potential.

Applicants with experience teaching Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) Agricultural Science and Technology and/or Agribusiness will be highly regarded.

Teachers and school administrators employed at WACoA - Cunderdin in 2026 are eligible to receive a temporary Attraction and Retention Incentive of $3 000 (pa, gross – to be adjusted pro rata for FTE and tenure). Eligible staff will receive a percentage of this payment on commencement at the school, with the remainder paid at the end of the school year. Staff must remain employed in the location until the end of the school year to be eligible to receive the second payment.

The temporary ARI payment is in addition to other incentives that may apply in this school.

Mobility appointments for permanent, metropolitan and south west teachers

Eligible permanent teachers who hold a substantive teaching position in a North or South Education Region school, or a South West Education Region school* may elect to undertake this role as a 3-year mobility appointment, with a right of return to their substantive position. At the cessation of the 3-year mobility appointment, teachers can elect to return to their substantive role, or transfer permanently into this school.
