Support Worker (Autism Support) Location: Southport, Merseyside Start Date: ASAP Pay: £90 - £100 per day

Are you passionate about supporting children with autism? We're looking for a dedicated Support Worker to join an Outstanding Autism School in Southport. This role offers a unique opportunity to help students with autism thrive in a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one or small group support to students with autism during lessons and activities.
  • Assist with academic and personal development, supporting students to reach their full potential.
  • Implement behaviour management strategies, using de-escalation techniques to create a calm learning environment.
  • Work closely with teachers, parents, and external professionals to ensure the holistic development of each student.
  • Adapt learning materials and tasks to meet students' individual needs.
  • Monitor and report on progress, providing feedback to the teaching team.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience working with children with autism or a strong interest in autism support.
  • Empathetic and patient, with a passion for supporting children's growth.
  • Strong knowledge of behaviour management techniques.
  • Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively with staff and parents.
  • Positive and adaptable attitude, with a commitment to making a difference.

Requirements:

  • Enhanced DBS Disclosure.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Available for a registration interview.
