About the opportunity
In this position you will be responsible for:
- Supporting whole-school (Tier 1) wellbeing and engagement practices
- Delivering targeted (Tier 2) interventions for students requiring additional support
- Building staff capacity in effective behaviour and regulation strategies
- Working collaboratively with teachers, families, and the Student Support Team
- Promoting a positive, inclusive school culture grounded in Catholic values
- Supporting teachers to implement effective strategies for behaviour, engagement, and regulation
- Delivering small group and short-term targeted interventions for students
- Using data to monitor student progress and inform intervention
- Collaborating with staff and families to support student wellbeing
About you
To be successful in this position you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience including:
- Creating a supportive, learner-focused classroom aligned with the Australian Curriculum
- Expertise in designing and delivering effective curriculum programs in line with the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers
- Commitment to engage with colleagues, students, and parents/carers to enrich learning experiences and achieve the best educational outcomes for students
- A strong commitment to student wellbeing and inclusive education
- Experience or understanding of MTSS, PB4L, or similar frameworks
- Is proactive, collaborative, and solutions-focused
- Supports and contributes to the Catholic identity of the school
Eligibility and Safeguarding requirements:
- Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment
- Current registration with Queensland College of Teachers.
