About the Role
As the Support Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the office by applying your relevant experience, sound judgment, and comprehensive understanding of the team's functions and the wider business unit. You will prepare preliminary reports, papers, and correspondence related to specific organisational functions or disciplines, while providing accurate information and administrative support to senior officers and external stakeholders. The position involves undertaking complex operational tasks, assisting with or reviewing the work of team members, and demonstrating initiative in applying established work practices and procedures. You will also use your expertise to resolve day-to-day issues where formal guidelines may not exist, contributing to the efficiency and effectiveness of the organisation's operations.
Your Responsibilities
As the Support Officer, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Working with children and young people (K-12), with or without active enrolments where there are complex vulnerabilities requiring multi-agency support to engage in continuous schooling.
- Achieving personal and team goals that will impact on the operations of the business unit.
- Contributing to the wider team which may include training/coaching other staff to develop work performance, planning and co-ordinating tasks and work flow.
