North Lake Senior Campus provides a quality education for young people and adults wanting to complete Year 11 and Year 12 in a safe, unique and inclusive campus. With an atmosphere more like an adult training institute than a traditional secondary school, North Lake Senior Campus offers opportunities for students to achieve university entry, gain an apprenticeship, traineeship or enter the world of work.

Highly qualified and caring staff work alongside students to engage with Western Australian Certificate of Education (WACE) courses or Vocational Education and Training (VET) programmes from a range of areas. North Lake's Fast Track Program, located in central Fremantle in a purpose-built campus, offers customised learning programs catering for students not quite ready for mainstream Year 11. The Intensive English Centre, located at the main campus, assists newly arrived Australians targeted programs to assist them to learn Standard Australian English and transition to mainstream senior schooling or further training and employment.

The Role

As the Student Support Coordinator, you would report to the Student Services Coordinator for day-to-day operations and the Manager of Corporate Services as a non-teaching staff member.

In this role your primary focus would be supporting the attendance, behavioural, and social/emotional developmental needs of students, identifying and resolving barriers to educational engagement to facilitate improved academic achievement. You will ideally support the implementation of a social and emotional wellbeing program for students across all pathways. You will have the opportunity to make a lasting contribution to our campus and the education of our students, assisting with the development and implementation of a range of school and department-based strategies to ensure responsive and effective support.

Joining our diverse and inclusive educational institution, you will be part of a passionate team committed to creating a nurturing and engaging learning environment for all students. The successful candidate will ideally have experience working collaboratively to create and maintain effective links between students, their families, the campus, and wider community partners.
