Summary

Our Lady's College, Annerley is seeking multiple Sports Assistants to join its dynamic school community. Working under the supervision and guidance of a Sports Coach, Sports Assistants play a key role in supporting school sporting teams and squads, helping students develop their skills, teamwork, and passion for sport.

  • Location: Our Lady's College, Annerley
  • Start date: Commencing ASAP
  • Work hours: Casual (Hours may vary from week to week)
  • Salary: School Officer Level 2 (Casual rate) - $40.63/hr + super (School Salary Scale)

About the opportunity

In this position you will be responsible for:

  • Assisting with equipment and the preparations for, and conducting of, training sessions and/or sporting events
  • Supporting students with a diverse range of abilities and learning needs
  • Ensuring the condition of resources and materials are clean and safe to use and arrange the repair or replacement for any damaged item
  • Generally, supervising small groups in their chosen sport
  • Coaching on rules, tactics and expectations within the sport
  • Encouraging camaraderie and sportsmanship amongst players.

About you

To be successful in this position you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience including:

  • No formal qualification is required; however a strong track record in the revelant sport and relevant coaching experience will be highly regarded
  • For this position you are not required to be Catholic

Eligibility and Safeguarding requirements:

  • Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment
  • Hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card prior to commencement
  • Current/valid Queensland Driver’s Licence, if required.
