Key Responsibilities
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support students with SEN needs including Autism (ASC), ADHD, speech & language needs, and moderate learning difficulties
- Deliver 1:1 and small-group interventions to support academic progress and emotional wellbeing
- Work closely with class teachers, SENCo, and pastoral staff
- Help students remain engaged, focused, and confident in lessons
- Adapt support strategies to meet individual learning needs and EHCP targets
- Contribute to a safe, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
About You
We are looking for candidates who:
- Have previous experience as a Teaching Assistant OR supporting young people with SEND
- Have worked in a secondary school or similar setting (highly desirable)
- Are confident supporting ASD, ADHD, and SEMH needs
- Are patient, resilient, and adaptable
- Build strong, professional relationships with students and staff
- Are committed to making a long-term difference in education
