About the opportunity
Aquinas College, Ashmore is seeking a dedicated Design & Technologies Teacher to deliver engaging teaching load across Food Specialisation, Certificate II in Cookery and Textiles. The successful educator will inspire students through practical, creative and industry‑aligned learning experiences that build confidence, capability and real‑world skills. The ability to teach Religious Education will be advantageous.
In this position you will be responsible for:
- Delivering curriculum in Food Specialisation, Certificate II in Cookery and Textiles
- Creating a nurturing and ordered learning environment that is learner-centred, supportive, cooperative, and aligned with relevant curriculum policies, documents and practices
- Collaboratively developing and implementing quality curriculum programs and appropriate pedagogy; evaluating their effectiveness; assessing and reporting student progress and learning outcomes; and reporting these to students, parents and the community
- Working collaboratively with the leadership team, teachers and other staff members in contributing to the professional life of the school and fostering a positive school culture
- Proactively engaging with professional learning to enhance student learning outcomes
- Establishing positive relationships in the pastoral care of students and supporting their spiritual and moral development
- Ensure that the teachings and values of the Catholic Church form a foundation for learning and teaching.

- A passion to support students' spiritual and moral development
- An ability to teach Religious Education will be viewed favourably.
Eligibility and Safeguarding requirements:
- Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment
- Current registration with Queensland College of Teachers.
