Job description

We are seeking passionate and dedicated Secondary Classes Teachers to join our school community across a range of subject areas, with particular opportunities available in Information Technology, English, Mathematics, Nutrition and Food Technology, Physical Education (PE) and Art, Humanities and Social Sciences (HASS) as well as other subjects where needed.

Key Responsibilities for Teachers

As a Secondary Teacher at our school, you will deliver engaging, student-centered lessons across a range of subjects, including Information Technology, English, Mathematics, Nutrition and Food Technology, Physical Education (PE), Art, and Humanities and Social Sciences (HASS). Your key responsibilities will include:

• Information Technology: Teach coding, digital literacy, and emerging technologies, promoting safe and creative use of technology.
• English: Develop reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills, fostering literacy, creativity, and critical thinking.
• Mathematics: Build numeracy, problem-solving, and analytical skills, applying mathematics in real-world contexts.
• Nutrition and Food Technology: Deliver practical and theory lessons in food science, nutrition, and healthy living, promoting creativity and safe practices.
• Physical Education (PE): Encourage physical fitness, teamwork, and wellbeing through a variety of sports and activities.
• Art: Inspire creativity and self-expression through visual arts, design, and media, encouraging critical thinking.
• HASS: Teach history, geography, civics, and social studies, fostering understanding of social, cultural, and environmental issues.

Across all subjects, you will:

• Plan, prepare, and assess lessons to monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop cross-curricular programs and contribute to school initiatives and extracurricular activities.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Recognised teaching qualification and registration with the ACT Teacher Quality Institute (TQI).
• Current Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) card.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• Commitment to child safety and Islamic values.
