Farm Assistant - SEN School (SW17) | September Start

Location: SW17, South West London
Start Date: September 2026
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 4:00pm
Contract: Full-Time

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Farm Assistant to join a welcoming SEN school in SW17 from September. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about both animal care and supporting children with special educational needs.

The successful candidate will work on the school's on-site farm, helping to care for a variety of animals while supporting pupils to engage in practical, hands-on learning experiences. You will play a key role in creating a safe, enjoyable, and educational environment where students can develop confidence, life skills, and independence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Daily care and welfare of farm animals
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised farm environment
  • Supporting pupils with SEN during farm-based activities
  • Encouraging student participation and engagement
  • Assisting staff in delivering practical learning experiences
  • Ensuring health and safety procedures are followed at all times

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Previous experience working on a farm or with animals
  • Experience supporting children or young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • A patient, caring, and proactive approach
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • A genuine passion for helping young people thrive
