St Thomas More College is seeking a reliable and community-minded School Bus Driver to safely transport students on daily school bus runs, working approximately 2 hours each morning and 2 hours each afternoon. Play a key role in ensuring the safety, comfort, and wellbeing of students by providing a dependable and secure transport service that supports their daily school experience.

About the opportunity
In this position you will be responsible for:
- Checking student documentation when students enter the bus and assisting those who need help entering or exiting the bus
- Safely drive the bus to pick up and return students to designated stops before and after school, in accordance with an approved route on an approved time schedule
- Driving the bus for school excursions
- Checking the bus tyres, lights, and oil and performing other basic maintenance checks before bus usage
- Reporting behavioural student incidents, traffic incidents, and near misses.
About you
To be successful in this position you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience including:
- Previous experience driving children or students, ensuring their safety and well-being, and being able to assist those who need help entering or exiting the bus
- A proven track record of safely operating a bus, preferably driving school buses following designated routes and schedules
- Experience driving buses on school excursions or field trips
- Familiarity with performing basic vehicle checks, ensuring the bus is in good working condition before use
- Incident reporting and communication
- LR/MR Driving Licence
- For this position you are not required to be Catholic.
Eligibility and Safeguarding requirements:
- Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment
- Hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card prior to commencement.
