An ambitious and high‑performing secondary school in the London Borough of Newham is seeking to appoint a highly committed Teacher of Religious Studies to join its successful Humanities faculty from September 2026.

Religious Studies is a core subject at Key Stages 3 and 4, following the AQA GCSE specification, and is a popular option at Key Stage 5, where the OCR A Level specification is taught. Student outcomes at both GCSE and A Level are consistently strong, supported by high expectations, secure subject knowledge and disciplined classroom practice.

The Role

The successful candidate will:

• Teach Religious Studies across the age range
• Deliver high‑quality lessons that inspire curiosity, critical thinking and academic excellence
• Contribute to the continued success of a well‑established and highly regarded department
• Maintain high standards of behaviour, engagement and achievement

This post would suit either an Early Career Teacher (ECT) or an experienced teacher who thrives in a structured, high‑expectations environment and is committed to securing excellent outcomes for all students. A Teaching and Learning Responsibility (TLR) may be available for a suitably experienced candidate.
