A well-respected primary school located in Edgware, Barnet, is currently seeking a committed Learning Support Assistant with a background in psychology to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone eager to support pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) while gaining hands-on experience in a school setting.

The role centres on providing both academic and social-emotional support to children with SEN. Main Duties:

• Work alongside the classroom teacher to support daily activities and maintain a structured learning environment.
• Deliver tailored assistance to pupils with SEN on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
• Implement behaviour support strategies and contribute to positive classroom management.
• Ensure the well-being and progress of children who require extra help, both educationally and emotionally.
• Contribute to a supportive and inclusive atmosphere as a valued Learning Support Assistant.

Candidate Requirements:

• A degree in Psychology or a closely related discipline.
• Proven experience working with children who have Special Educational Needs.
• Confident behaviour management and the ability to adapt to different learning needs.
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with staff while also working independently.
