Behaviour Support Assistant

Working closely with students who require additional behavioural and emotional support, you will play a key role in promoting positive behaviour, engagement, and academic progress across the school.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 and small group behaviour support to students.
• Build positive relationships with pupils to encourage engagement and participation.
• Support students with social, emotional, and behavioural needs both inside and outside the classroom.
• Work alongside teaching staff, pastoral teams, and SEN professionals to implement behaviour support strategies.
• Assist in managing challenging behaviour in line with the school's policies.
• Promote a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Experience working with young people in an educational, youth work, mentoring, coaching, or support setting.
• Strong behaviour management and communication skills.
• A calm, resilient, and proactive approach.
• The ability to build rapport and establish positive relationships with students.
• A genuine passion for supporting young people to achieve their potential.
• An enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
