Physical Education Teacher

The International French School of Sydney is currently looking for an experienced Physical Education Teacher to join the team on a permanent basis.

This is a permanent and full time position starting on 1 August 2026.

As a Secondary Teacher, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Teach EPS in French to Secondary school students (Years 6 to 12)
• Prepare students for examinations
• Teach within the framework of the fundamental principles of the French and Australian educational systems with high standards expected
• Embrace the French-Australian work culture of our School
• An ability to teach across different subject areas would be an advantage
• The selected candidate will be in charge of the tennis elite squad students

About the ideal candidate:

• Bachelor's degree + Master's degree in education + competitive examination (CAPES/Agrégation), subject to assessment by Australian agencies
• Minimum of 4 years' full-time experience
• Previous experience in the French Education system, in collège and lycée
• Native speaker French plus English language proficiency equivalent to IELTS overall band score of at least 5.0, with no component below 4.5
• Knowledge of the AEFE network and the French education system abroad
• Ability to teach across subject areas is highly regarded
