Position Descriptor:

Instrumental Music Teacher: Woodwind (0.7) Marryatville High School (Music Focus School), teaching across this and other networks.

Join a dynamic learning community delivering high-quality woodwind programs across primary and secondary schools.

The role involves:

  • Small group and individual (Year 12) instrumental teaching, and ensemble conducting
  • Collaborating with staff across multiple schools
  • Developing programs aligned with the SA Curriculum and SACE frameworks
  • Teaching woodwind instruments in groups in primary years
  • Specialising in clarinet (group/individual) in secondary years, with other woodwind instruments by negotiation
  • Conducting bands/ensembles in primary years, secondary by negotiation
  • Using IT as appropriate
  • Possible distance teaching by negotiation

  • Relevant teaching qualification and registration with the Teachers Registration Board of SA
  • Demonstrated ability to foster a positive, inclusive learning environment
