Kolbe Catholic College is a vibrant and growing community guided by our vision, Everyone Grows. We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Literacy & Numeracy Intervention Support Person to join our St Clare Campus.

This role is integral to supporting student learning outcomes through targeted intervention in literacy and numeracy, working collaboratively with teachers and support staff to ensure each student achieves their full potential.

About the role

The Literacy & Numeracy Intervention Support Person will:

  • Provide small group and individual support to students requiring additional assistance in literacy and numeracy.
  • Work collaboratively with classroom teachers and Learning Diversity staff to implement evidence-based intervention strategies.
  • Assist with the preparation of learning materials and classroom resources.
  • Monitor and record student progress in consultation with teaching staff.
  • Support inclusive learning practices that meet diverse student needs.
  • Contribute to the positive culture and wellbeing of the College community.
  • Undertake other duties aligned with the operational needs of the College.

This is a part-time (0.62 FTE), fixed-term position based primarily at St Clare Campus, with potential duties at other campuses as required.

Skills and experience

To be successful, the candidate will demonstrate:

  • A current National Criminal Records Check and Working with Children Check.
  • Relevant qualification and/or experience in education support, literacy and numeracy intervention, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of effective strategies to support students with diverse learning needs.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
  • Proficiency in ICT to support learning and data management.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • A commitment to confidentiality and the ethos and values of Catholic education.
