We are seeking a friendly and organised Library Technician (Part-Time) to support the day-to-day operations of our libraries across campuses.

Geelong Lutheran College is seeking a passionate and organised Library Technician (Part-Time) to support the creation of vibrant, inclusive, and welcoming library environments across our campuses. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with students, promoting literacy, and supporting learning through engaging library services and resources.

About the Role
The Library Technician supports students and staff by managing library resources, promoting literature, and maintaining welcoming learning spaces. This role requires strong organisational skills, initiative, and the ability to collaborate effectively with staff across the College. Some student supervision may be required, and duties may evolve to meet the needs of the College.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist students and staff in accessing library resources and technologies
• Maintain and manage print and digital library collections
• Promote reading and literature across a range of genres and formats
• Create engaging displays and support library events
• Manage circulation, shelving, bookings, and general library administration
• Support digital platforms including Oliver, ClickView, and LearnPath
• Maintain welcoming, organised, and inclusive library spaces
• Collaborate with staff to support curriculum and student learning

Qualifications and Experience

• Relevant library qualification or experience (highly regarded)
• Experience in a school library setting (desirable)
• Familiarity with IB PYP (advantageous)
• Current Working with Children Check
• Current Police Check
• First Aid Level 1 (or willingness to obtain)
