Pinnacle College is seeking an enthusiastic and passionate Learning Support Officer to join our team for a short term contract.

Base Annual Salary Range:$60,964.86 - $77,134.28
Adjusted Annual Salary Range:$51,907.78 - $65,675.04
Hours of Work: 8:00am to 4:00pm, Monday to Friday
Contract Start Date:27/04/2026
Contract End Date: 12/06/2026

About the Role

We are seeking applications from suitably qualified and experienced Learning Support Officers for a full time, fixed term contract position at our Gilles Plains campus. This role is to provide support for students at the primary level. The Learning Support Officer will work as an integral part of our Inclusive Education Department in a range of classroom and student support activities which contribute to the achievement of literacy and numeracy-based outcomes of students in the school.

Responsibilities

  • Provide classroom support to students with diverse learning needs.
  • Work with classroom teachers to support the development of differentiated learning activities and assessments.
  • Implement strategies and provide feedback to the Inclusive Education Coordinator and classroom teachers.
  • Monitor student progress and adjust support strategies as necessary.
  • Develop positive relationships with students, parents, and staff.

Essential Criteria

  • Certificate III or higher in Education Support or similar.
  • Experience working with students who have additional learning needs.
  • A passion for inspiring students to learn.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity.
  • Flexibility and an ability to work collaboratively.
  • Ability to work with a variety of IT software platforms.
  • A commitment to the mission, vision, and core values of the College.
  • Working with Children Check.
