Learning Support Officer (LSO) – Full Time

Columba Catholic Primary School invites applications from enthusiastic, caring and dedicated individuals to join our team as a Learning Support Officer (LSO).

This is a full-time position, working Monday to Friday, 8:50am – 3:20pm, commencing Monday 3rd August

At Columba, our Learning Support Officers play a vital role in supporting the learning, wellbeing and inclusion of all students. LSOs work collaboratively with classroom teachers, the Learning Adjustment Leader and fellow support staff to provide targeted support that enables every child to thrive.

The successful applicant will work under the direction of classroom teachers to support individual students and small groups both within and outside the classroom, assisting with educational, social and developmental programs.

• Demonstrate a strong understanding of child safety and appropriate professional boundaries when working with children.
• Be committed to ongoing professional learning and continuous improvement.

Essential Requirements

• Current Working with Children Check (Employee).
• A commitment to safeguarding children and supporting the wellbeing of every student.
• Previous experience in a school or educational setting is desirable but not essential.
