St Elizabeth’s School in Dandenong North seeks to employ a passionate and motivated learning diversity leader for an ongoing part time position to begin in term 1, 2026.
The role will be a generalist teacher position, with a POL 1 Learning Diversity.
The role will be part time: 3 days (FTE .60). Days to be determined.
The successful applicant needs to be committed to delivering a high standard of teaching and has a willingness to contribute to our vibrant and highly professional team, where student learning and wellbeing defines who we are.
Experience in the role of learning diversity leader is preferred.
A passion and enthusiasm for leading learning is a characteristic we seek in all our staff. The teaching and learning at our school is contemporary, where collaboration and a willingness to work and learn as a team member is fundamental to the way we create an effective learning environment for our students.
Knowledge and teaching experience of the Victorian Curriculum, with a willingness to develop programs to suit every child is expected of all staff at St Elizabeth’s.
The successful applicant will be required to:
- have an understanding, commitment, and support for the values and ethos of the Catholic school and the mission of the Catholic Church
- demonstrate a commitment to the safety and wellbeing of children in accordance with Child Safe standards
- foster and develop appropriate professional relationships with students, staff, parents, and the wider school community
- collaboratively plan and work in a team with flexibility, creativity, passion and enthusiasm
- view themselves as a lifelong learner, which they foster in all students
- display initiative and commitment to ongoing improvement
- have a sound knowledge of on the MACS Vision for Instruction and MACS Vision for Instruction and explicit teaching strategies and cognitive load theory
- have sound knowledge on targeting individual learning needs, promoting mental health and wellbeing, motivation, engagement, respectful relationships, neurodiversity and NCCD
- gather, analyse and use data (formal and informal) to improve teacher practice, pedagogy and student outcomes e.g. PAT-M, NAPLAN
- have a commitment to pursuing and maintaining their professional knowledge and skills in the areas of teaching and learning and student wellbeing
- work with children at risk in small groups, using a targeted program to improve student outcomes
- be adaptable and have a sense of humour
- full VIT registration
- accredited to teach Religious Education in a Catholic school
