Catholic Education Diocese of Wagga Wagga has an exciting opportunity for a Permanent, Full-Time ICT Systems Engineer.

Your New Role

The Information Technology team deliver and maintain the infrastructure, systems and learning technologies used in the 29 schools and offices across Catholic Education, Diocese of Wagga Wagga (CEDWW).

The ICT Systems Engineer serves as a technical escalation point for complex issues while overseeing the maintenance of core infrastructure and contributing to key technology projects. Beyond technical duties, the role focuses on building team capacity through mentorship and fostering a supportive work environment. By maintaining professional, collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors, the Engineer ensures the delivery of high-quality service outcomes across the Diocese.

  • Salary: Grade 7 $103,900.00 - $130,179.06 base excluding superannuation (dependent upon experience and qualifications)

Essential Criteria

  • A degree in ICT, science or engineering, or an equivalent combination of vocational training and experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience in IT technical services or IT service delivery.
  • Intermediate to advanced competency in one or more of the following:
    • server and systems management;
    • network and communications technologies;
    • desktop and personal computing management; and
    • learning technologies.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Able to periodically undertake overnight travel
  • Accreditation to Work Teach and Lead in Systemic Catholic Schools - Catholic Education Diocese of Wagga Wagga or willing to achieve.
  • Current Drivers Licence
  • Current NSW Working With Children Check
  • Successful candidate will undergo a National Criminal History Check
