Reception Teaching Assistant - Garstang Area

Start Date: January 2026 Contract: Until July 2026 Location: Garstang

Veritas Education is seeking a Reception Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in the Garstang area. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about supporting early years education.

Role Responsibilities:

• Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and activities.
• Support pupils' learning and development in line with the EYFS framework.
• Provide one-to-one and small group support where needed.
• Help maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment.

Essential Requirements:

• Previous experience working with children in an educational setting (EYFS experience desirable).
• Experience supporting phonics teaching and early reading development.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• A valid DBS or willingness to obtain one.
