We are seeking to establish a pool of Gardener - Handyperson for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

Noranda Primary School (PS) is a vibrant learning environment for students from Kindergarten to Year 6 (children aged 4 to 12) in the suburb of Noranda. With a student population of over 360 students, we cater for students with a diverse range of cultural and language backgrounds.

The Role

As the Gardener/Handyperson the suitable applicants will ideally be required to keep the school grounds, gardens and all sporting areas clean, tidy and clearly marked including turf management. In addition to operating horticultural equipment, you would also be required to perform minor repairs and maintenance of the tools and equipment used. The suitable applicants should have effective communication skills to help develop and maintain good working relationships with school staff. A sound knowledge of safe working practices would also be highly desirable.

We are ideally seeking enthusiastic and hardworking individuals, able to work independently or as part of a team; who are able to display initiative, have good work ethics and take pride in their work. Sound communication and interpersonal skills would also be an asset in this role.
