The opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Finance Team for a Finance Officer to join Radford College on a permanent, full-time, year-round basis, commencing as soon as possible.

About the role

This Finance Officer plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the College’s financial processes and provides high-level administrative and financial support across all areas of the team.

The position is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end Accounts Payable function, including processing invoices, expense reimbursements and credit cards. In addition, the Finance Officer manages reporting for the Radford College Development Fund and assists with the preparation of other financial reports as required.

About you

You will bring experience in Accounts Payable processes and systems, including vendor onboarding and accurate record maintenance. With strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities, you will provide high-quality support across the finance function.

You will demonstrate a professional, customer-focused, and confidential approach in all interactions, and be a confident self-starter with a flexible, proactive attitude.

While not essential, experience with SAP Concur and relevant qualifications will be highly regarded. This position may also suit an early career professional eager to learn and further develop their skills in a supportive team environment.

Candidates must:

• Demonstrate strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Be technically competent and confident in the MS Office suite and willing to learn financial software systems, such as SAP Concur and Synergetic.
• Be able to work independently and as part of a team, when required
• Demonstrate high levels of confidentiality
• Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills

Qualifications

• Three years experience in Accounts Payable or finance administration
• Experience in end-to-end Accounts Payable processes
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and financial software systems e.g., SAP Concur or similar, or willingness to learn.
• Relevant qualifications in accounting, finance, or a related discipline are desirable.
• Working With Vulnerable People Clearance.
