An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and motivated Events & Community Relations Coordinator to join our dynamic Development and Community Relations team.

This role is central to the planning and delivery of the College’s major fundraising and community-building (“friend-raising”) events and serves as the primary liaison for the Parents & Friends Association. Working closely with the Director of Development and Community Relations, you will collaborate across teams to create meaningful, engaging experiences for the wider College community.

Key Responsibilities:

Events Management

• Plan, design, budget, promote, and deliver the College’s major annual events
• Lead a range of community fundraising initiatives
• Oversee event logistics, stakeholder engagement, timelines, and post-event evaluation.

Community Relations

• Act as the day-to-day contact between the College and the P&F Association
• Foster strong relationships that support community engagement and participation.

About You

You are a proactive, highly organised professional with exceptional attention to detail. You communicate clearly and confidently, build strong relationships, and thrive when managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Key Skills & Experience

• Tertiary qualifications and/or proven experience in Event Management
• Demonstrated success delivering events on time and within budget
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities across diverse stakeholders
• Experience coordinating external suppliers and contractors
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop)
• Experience using digital marketing tools (e.g., Campaign Monitor)
• Strong time-management skills and ability to meet tight deadlines
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Advanced proofreading and editing capabilities
• Strong customer-service mindset
• Sound judgment, flexibility, and forward planning.

Additional Information

This is a full-time position (35 hours per week) working throughout the year during both term time and school holiday periods, with the exception of 4 weeks’ annual leave per year. Standard core hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00am–4:00pm, however due to the nature of this role, attendance at after-hours meetings and College events will be required.

The successful applicant must be supportive of the Catholic ethos of the College and hold a valid Working With Children Check prior to commencement.
