There has never been a more exciting time to join the Enterprise, Governance and Partnerships (EGP) division and be part of the future to deliver great outcomes for the community! This talent register is an online portal that allows you to register your interest for fixed term, full-time and part-time opportunities up to twelve (12) months for a range of key positions across the division. The Enterprise Governance and Partnerships Division drives high performance at a system level by providing senior leaders with visibility and assurance of system performance and improvement initiatives and confidence in the management of key external partnerships. We do this by:

  • ensuring strategic responses and projects are delivered within expectations underpinned by quality project and program management methodologies
  • improving oversight of high-level strategic priorities and projects through increased visibility and quality assurance
  • aligning governance standards to the strategic significance and complexity of initiatives
  • supporting evidence-based decision making through effective use of intelligence and data
  • developing and maintaining effective partnerships to support strategic alignment and positive relationships both within and external to the Department, including with higher and international education stakeholders.

Our Division EGP consists of the following areas of work:

  • researching the viability of concepts and developing recommendations that guide strategic development to transformational initiatives, preparing the Department for the future
  • driving and providing oversight of responses and initiatives that facilitate the delivery of the Department’s strategic intent
  • using project management methodologies to underpin collaboration, standardisation and the on time, on-budget delivery of key project metrics
  • continuous improvement and maturity of data collection, storage and analysis to enable executive dashboards for senior leadership
  • secretariat support for Corporate Executive and governance committees
  • monitoring of progress and risks associated with delivering agency, government and Minister priorities
  • enabling senior leadership decision making through providing clear and relevant information in visual displays
  • providing assurance of system performance across a range of initiatives
  • strategic policy and planning functions for higher education across Western Australia, providing high-level advice to the Minister, Director General, and senior executives on higher education matters
  • developing and implementing policies and initiatives aligned with State and National objectives,
  • representing the Department in key intergovernmental forums and negotiations
  • fostering strong relationships with Commonwealth and State agencies, universities, higher education providers, and industry stakeholders to ensure coordinated and effective governance of the higher education sector
  • strategic planning, implementation, and operational management of the Department’s international education program
  • driving system-level initiatives to enhance the effectiveness and global reach of Western Australia’s public education system
  • delivering a responsive, high-quality international education program that supports the State’s educational and economic objectives through developing, monitoring, and reviewing strategic frameworks, representing the Department in high-level policy forums, and fostering collaborative partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.

The Roles These roles provide operational support in the design, delivery, and evaluation of education-related projects, programs, and initiatives aligned with departmental priorities. They ensure governance compliance with legal and policy frameworks, delivers high-level research and analysis to inform decision-making, and contribute to the development of policies, guidelines, and Ministerial communications. These positions also support business process and data system improvements through system administration, stakeholder engagement, and the creation of data products such as dashboards and reports. With a strong focus on consultation, collaboration, and continuous improvement, the various roles demand advanced capabilities in project management, policy development, data analysis, and communication, to enable the Department to respond effectively to emerging trends and drive educational outcomes across Western Australia.
