Director of Early Learning

Full-time (1.0FTE) | Fixed-term (3 year appointment)

Commencing Term 1, 2026, or by mutual agreement

The Geelong College is looking for an experienced leader to head our Early Learning Centre. This role offers the chance to guide a caring, creative, and forward-thinking early years program based on the Reggio Emilia philosophy.

As Director of Early Learning, you will lead the Early Learning team, support students and families, and work closely with the Junior School Leadership Team to ensure high-quality education and community connections.

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants must demonstrate the following:

• Evidence of Right to Work in Australia
• Bachelor of Early Childhood Education
• Registered through VIT (Victorian Institute of Teaching) or ability to obtain
• Experience in a leadership position in the Early Learning and/or Junior School environment
• An understanding and appreciation of the Reggio Emilia approach to education
• A broad understanding of the development and educational needs of young children
• Current Certifications in:
  • First Aid (HLTAID011)
  • CPR (HTLAID 009)
  • Asthma Management
• Completion of either:
  • The College's anaphylaxis training, or
  • Accredited course: 22578VIC - Course in First Aid Management of Anaphylaxis
