Role Description/Criteria

Emmaus College is a proudly Catholic co-educational College in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne, established in 1980. The College operates over multiple campuses, at Vermont South, Vermont and Burwood. A Senior Campus for Years 7, 8, 10, 11 and 12 in Vermont South, a Junior Campus for K to Year 6 in Vermont South (1.8km from the Senior Campus) and a Year 9 Campus in Vermont (1.4km from the Senior Campus) and a VET Campus in Burwood.

Applications are invited from passionate, innovative and creative teachers to join our Technology Learning Area in the role of Design Technology Teacher- Wood and Visual Communication and Design, commencing 27 January 2027.

The College is seeking an enthusiastic educator who is committed to inspiring students through design, creativity, innovation and hands-on learning. The successful applicant will demonstrate strong practical and pedagogical expertise, a genuine passion for Design Technology, and a commitment to developing students as innovative thinkers, skilled creators and effective problem-solvers. This is a full-time, ongoing position.

For applicants seeking a leadership pathway, there is also an opportunity to undertake the role of Learning Area Leader- Technology in a shared leadership capacity. This opportunity would suit an experienced and collaborative educator who is eager to contribute to the vision and future development of the Technology Learning Area, support and empower colleagues, and foster a culture of innovation, excellence and engaging learning.
