Cover Supervisors Needed - Secondary Schools Across Lewisham | September Start

We are currently recruiting enthusiastic and reliable Cover Supervisors to work in a range of welcoming and well-established secondary schools across Lewisham from September.

This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, experienced teaching assistants, youth workers, sports coaches, or anyone with experience working with young people.

The Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will:

• Supervise classes during the short-term absence of the classroom teacher.
• Ensure students remain on task and complete the work set.
• Maintain a positive and productive learning environment.
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
• Report back to teaching staff on lesson progress.

No planning or marking is required.

What We're Looking For

• Experience working with young people in a school, coaching, mentoring, or similar setting.
• Strong communication and classroom management skills.
• Confidence leading groups of students aged 11-16 or 11-18.
• A flexible, professional, and positive attitude.
• An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
