We are seeking a suitably qualified, experienced, and enthusiastic candidate to join our team as Compliance and Risk Officer (12-month Parental Leave Replacement). This position supports the Principal’s Office and is based at our St Paul’s Campus (SPC), Altona North.

Emmanuel College is vastly increasing in student numbers. We are a two campus College, our St Paul’s single sex boys Campus located in Altona North and our co-educational campus located in Point Cook.

Compliance and Risk Officer

Emmanuel College is seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Compliance and Risk Officer to support the College’s governance, compliance, and risk management processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage compliance systems, including policy, risk, and visitor management platforms.
• Support Child Safe practices and oversee compliance for camps, retreats, and events.
• Maintain College policies, staff documentation, and compliance records.
• Coordinate VRQA, OHS, and contractor compliance requirements.
• Oversee staff compliance training (Child Safe, Mandatory Reporting, OHS, First Aid, Fire Training).
• Support staff inductions, VET contracts, and pre-service teacher placements.
• Provide administrative and event support to the Principal’s Office.

About You

• Relevant qualifications in Risk, HR, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of Child Safe Standards, OHS, Privacy, and school compliance requirements.
• Excellent organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Current Working with Children Check and National Police Check.
• Commitment to Catholic education.

Desirable

• Experience in a school environment.
• Understanding of Catholic school ethos.

Salary: The Compliance and Risk Officer salary and conditions are in accordance with the Education Support Employee - Category B scale under the applicable Catholic Education Agreement
