About St Francis Xavier Primary

St Francis Xavier School is located in Western New South Wales and has served the community of Lake Cargelligo and surrounds for over 95 years. Our staff and students work, learn, and play on Wiradjuri land, along with First Nations peoples from Nyaampa and Barkenjii nations. Our community and industry combine agriculture and small business.

The school is well-resourced, delivering quality direct instruction programs in line with the Catholic Archdiocese of Canberra and Goulburn Education Limited (CECG) Catalyst direction, with high expectations for student learning and improvement.

A priority for our school is that students develop a strong sense of belonging with a focus on community. Our learning environments aim to develop independent and creative, life-long learners, and our staff ensure that every student is known and valued.

Professional development is strongly encouraged throughout the year for all staff members. High ratios of Classroom Support Assistants provide teachers and students with essential scaffolding and collaboration.
