This is a Classroom Teacher position under the Diocese of Sale Catholic Education Limited Schools and Secretariat Agreement.

About the Role

We are seeking a Graduate Teacher who is passionate about teaching, values positive relationships and is committed to working collaboratively as part of our professional learning community.

The successful applicant will:

• Hold current Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration, or be eligible for registration upon commencement
• Demonstrate a strong commitment to the safety, wellbeing and inclusion of all children
• Develop positive, professional and caring relationships with students, families and colleagues
• Create engaging, inclusive and high-quality learning experiences
• Demonstrate a commitment to the Catholic identity, ethos and values of the school
• Display strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Work collaboratively and contribute positively to a professional team environment
• Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the Victorian Curriculum and Religious Education Curriculum
• Use assessment and evidence to inform teaching and improve student learning
• Differentiate teaching and make appropriate adjustments to meet the diverse learning needs of students
• Demonstrate a commitment to ongoing professional learning and growth
• Hold accreditation to teach Religious Education in a Catholic school, or be willing to work towards accreditation.

   How would we see the Catholicity of our school portrayed through you and your classroom? How would your values, relationships and teaching contribute to the Catholic identity of our school?
2. Child Safety
   What is your understanding of your responsibility for child safety as a classroom teacher? What would you personally bring to creating a classroom where every child feels safe, known, valued and able to speak up?
3. Your Responsibility as an Educator
   What do you believe are the key responsibilities of a classroom teacher, beyond simply delivering the curriculum? How would these responsibilities be evident in your everyday practice?
4. Teaching and Learning
   If we walked into your classroom when learning was going really well, what would we see and hear? What would the students be doing and what would you be doing as the teacher?
