The Business Systems Support Officer plays a key role in ensuring the effective, consistent, and compliant use of core business systems across Catholic Archdiocese of Canberra and Goulburn Education Limited. The position supports staff across schools, ELCs, School Aged Care Services (SACSs), and the CEO, with a strong focus on finance, student information, and human resource systems.
Salary: $116,232 plus superannuation
Employment Status: Full-time | Temporary 12 Month Contract
Eligibility: Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident

About Us
Catholic Archdiocese of Canberra and Goulburn Education Limited (CECG) operates in the ACT and NSW, supporting 56 Schools and nine Early Learning Centres (ELCs).
The Catholic Education Office (CEO) provides corporate services to the CECG system of schools, ELCs and the CEO through four Directorates including Governance and Strategy, Faith in Learning, School Operations and Corporate Services.
About the Role
The Business Systems Support Officer plays a key role in ensuring the effective, consistent, and compliant use of core business systems across Catholic Archdiocese of Canberra and Goulburn Education Limited. The position supports staff across schools, ELCs, School Aged Care Services (SACSs), and the CEO, with a strong focus on finance, student information, and human resource systems.
Working as part of the Enterprise Business Systems team, the role provides first‑level support and guidance for business‑critical platforms including Finance (TechOne), Student Information System (Compass), Records and Information Management Systems (Content Manager) and associated HR systems (EMPOWER and PageUp). The position contributes to the stability of day‑to‑day operations while supporting system improvement, data quality, and compliance with organisational and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide timely first‑level support for business‑critical systems, ensuring incidents and service requests are effectively triaged, resolved, or escalated in line with service level agreements.
- Support schools and the CEO with core business processes such as census data, debtor billing, purchase orders, goods receipting, and month‑end and year‑end activities.
- Broad engagement across the system, CEnet, and third‑party vendors to support business system operations and initiatives.
- Create, maintain, and publish clear end‑user support materials, including user guides, training documentation, reference resources, and reports, to promote best practice and compliance.
- Deliver support and training through multiple channels, including phone, email, Microsoft Teams, webinars, and in‑person sessions, ensuring all interactions are recorded in the service management system.
- Contribute to continuous improvement activities by analysing business processes, supporting data integrity, and assisting with performance and efficiency enhancements across enterprise systems.

The ICT team supports the system through service delivery, field services, infrastructure, cyber security, business systems, applications and data services.
The team values collaboration, strong customer service and continuous improvement, and provides technology services that directly support staff, schools and students every day.

Qualifications and Eligibility
- Relevant qualifications or equivalent experience in finance, business systems, or administration
- ACT Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration and NSW Working With Children Check (WWCC)
- Current Drivers Licence
