About You
As a Youth Ministry and Assistant Religious Education Coordinator, you will inspire students through engaging, student-centered teaching within a Catholic learning environment. The position is a 2-point promotional role, temporary for up to 3 years, however your teaching position will be full-time and permanent. You'll bring:
- strong and active commitment to the practice of the Catholic Faith, with a well-developed understanding of the evangelising and catechising mission of the Catholic Church
- experience and skills in engaging young people into the diverse works of the Catholic Church
- an understanding of the emerging approaches to youth ministry and evangelisation
- commitment to and passion for events such as World Youth Day, the Australian Catholic Youth Festival, and Ignite Conference, as pilgrimages of faith for young people
- commitment to participate in and contribute to a formation program facilitated by Sydney Catholic Schools
- highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
- group and teamwork facilitation skills
- capacity to foster and strengthen relationships between the school and parish communities
- excellent time management, organisational and administrative skills.
- a tertiary qualification in Education and NESA accreditation
- Category D as per Accreditation Policy to Work, Teach, and Lead.Category E is desirable.
