About You
Southern Cross Catholic College Burwood is seeking an enthusiastic Learning Facilitator in Construction and Furniture Making to work at our College. As a suitably qualified Trainer, you will be a dynamic educator, keen to engage and inspire our students and deliver a curriculum that caters for students with different learning styles. You will also play a vital part in developing and implementing effective lesson plans to ensure high-quality student learning and engagement.
This is a permanent, full-time position but can be negotiated as part-time for the right candidate. There is also the possibility of a 2pt Wellbeing Leadership role - please indicate your interest and experience in your application.
Essential Criteria:
- Certificate II in Construction/Furniture Making or relevant Teaching Qualifications
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
- support the Catholic identity of the College
- excellent organisational and communication skills
- have a passion for teaching and learning, and the education of young adults
- have flexibility of hours, with block delivery classes
- have the ability to work autonomously and also to work positively and collaboratively as part of a team
- have a commitment to supporting student learning in a unique and innovative learning environment
- ability to deliver online course content and support students using technological learning platforms.
Desirable:
- ability to teach additional subject areas.
