We are seeking a /Physics / Science teacher to join our team in July, 2026 (Semester 2). The curriculum taught is the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) through our Australian partner school Haileybury College.

Situated just a one-hour flight from Darwin, our school is a wonderful place as a first time international experience for teachers, as well as a relaxing environment for more travelled teachers.

About the position

• VCE Physics and secondary school sciences.
• Our class sizes are small with motivated students (8-11 students on average)
• VCE classroom teachers receive support and mentorship through our partner school, Haileybury College (Melbourne). Mentors provide assessment tasks, learning sequences, and moderate marking.

• All relocation costs including airfare provided.

About our school

We offer the IB PYP programme (T-6) using the Australian National Curriculum as our basis of key skills and content outcomes. Our secondary school follows the Australian Curriculum and offers the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) as our graduating program. We currently have 30 students enrolled in Grade 11 and 12, with 240 students across the whole preschool to 12.

Our teachers mainly come from Australia and our student population is a mixture of Timorese nationals and expatriates. The school welcomes early career teachers as well as teachers who are preparing for retirement or have recently retired; interested in an exciting opportunity.

Teachers enjoy a great work/life balance and are able to opt for flexible working hours. We run to the Australian academic year calendar.

There are frequent flights to Singapore with daily flights to Bali and Darwin.

Our induction program includes supporting teachers become familiar with the country and able to explore the culture and history whilst here.
