Position Descriptor:
Oak Valley is a beautiful and very remote Anangu community in the Maralinga Tjarutja Lands, set on the edge of the Great Victorian Desert. We have a small and transient student cohort who speak Southern Pitjantjara as their first language, and English as a second or third language. Our students and families are proud of our school and the place it holds in our community.
We are seeking an adventurous and driven educator to teach students from R-12, depending on the needs of the site. As you'll be teaching our Senior students as well as our younger cohort, you'll need to provide SACE support; if you're unfamiliar with SACE, we can support you in your learning. This is the perfect role for someone who thrives on variety in their days and teaching practice.
This role requires a willingness to develop authentic relationships with students, staff, families and community. It will involve working alongside Anangu Educators to deliver curriculum and high expectations of students. Understanding EALD strategies, trauma practices and collaborative practices are highly desirable. Bring your flexibility, teamwork, resilience and sense of humour to our wonderful school.

- Describe how you work as part of a team to achieve shared goals. What strategies do you use to maintain strong collaboration and support colleagues in challenging settings?
