Position Descriptor: We require a teacher for our small class of students who require a trauma aware approached to teaching and learning and a individualized curriculum. Our approach is based on the Nurture Group UK Schools. There is the possibility of the contract being extended to 2027 for the right applicant. We have created a start date which gives the successful applicant two weeks to team teach with the current teacher to observe practice and ensure consistency.

Questions for application:

• How would you adapt your teaching strategies and classroom management techniques to support students with complex needs and developmental trauma, ensuring that learning is both accessible and nurturing?
• Trauma-informed practices stress the importance of building trust and positive relationships with students. Can you provide evidence of how you have successfully created a safe and supportive environment for students facing significant challenges?
• How do you approach and de-escalate high-risk behaviours in students while ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all individuals in the classroom?

Please note that part time and flexible arrangements will be considered.
