Position Descriptor: Flinders View Primary School is a small, inclusive school located in Port Augusta a small city about 322 kilometres north of the state capital, Adelaide. With a diverse student population, most of whom identify as Aboriginal or EALD learners, we are committed to high-quality teaching, cultural inclusion, and strong community connections. Guided by our vision, "Learning Together for a Better Future," we focus on explicit instruction in literacy and numeracy, and support student wellbeing through programs like Play is the Way and restorative practices. Formerly a seaport, Port Augusta is now a road traffic and railway junction city with much to be discovered about the history as a traditional meeting place for Aboriginal people. You can explore the inviting Spencer Gulf waters from kayaking to catching a kingfish, and enjoy the tranquillity and beauty of the stunning scenery. You can also discover the magic of the Outback or nearby Flinders Ranges before returning to all the comforts our regional City offers.

We are seeking a dedicated upper primary teacher who works well in a collaborative team and is committed to meeting the diverse needs of students. The successful applicant will demonstrate strong classroom organisation, behaviour management, and culturally responsive teaching, particularly with Aboriginal and EALD learners. They will align with whole-school approaches to pedagogy, curriculum and assessment, use evidence-based strategies, engage in ongoing professional learning, and use data to improve outcomes.
