Introduction
NT Christian Schools is a Christian organisation dedicated to advancing the Christian religion through education and religious instruction. As part of this mission, all staff are required to deliver or contribute to religious education, assist in religious services, and engage in religious practices and observances (including, but not limited to, leading prayers or devotions and sharing testimonies) with fellow staff and students. Applicants must demonstrate consistency with the religious beliefs of NT Christian Schools as outlined in the organisation’s Policies and Procedures.
This role requires the highest level of commitment to the Lord, the Bible, and to schooling from a Christian perspective. Teachers will be expected to provide an effective witness to the beliefs of NT Christian Schools, incorporating biblical perspectives in the teaching of the Australian curriculum, leading staff and student devotions, and sharing personal testimony. Teachers will also reflect their growing relationship with Christ in their professional and personal lives.
General Expectations
Palmerston Christian College takes pride in its high-quality teaching programs, which consistently produce excellent academic results. Our close-knit, family-like school culture fosters a commitment to student growth, both academically and personally. We support students and staff in being lifelong learners, working together to make a positive impact on the world.
Our work environment is rooted in principles of generosity, teamwork, effectiveness, efficiency, and attention to detail, all while maintaining a Christ-centred and safe workplace.
Primary Role
Teachers assist the principal in building and maintaining a strong, positive learning community. They collaborate with parents to ensure students receive the support they need to reach their full potential. In addition to teaching religious education consistent with NT Christian Schools' Policies and Procedures, teachers model Christian principles by example and provide a strong Christian witness.
