Centenary State High School is seeking a passionate Teachers across the below subject areas to inspire and educate students across Years 7-12. The successful candidate will be a collaborative and adaptable educator with strong communication skills and a commitment to student success.   • Food and Nutrition/ Hospitality Practices - Year 7-11 - (Temporary, Full-time 22/01/2026 - 11/12/2026)

(The successful applicant will bring a strong background in both junior and senior Home Economics, with the ability to engage students in practical, real-world learning experiences across food studies, nutrition, and hospitality)

  • Engineering - Year 10-12 - (Permanent, Full-time, commencing 22/01/2026)

(A background in aviation studies or related fields or a familiarity with Cert III in Aviation or Cert II in Autonomous Systems or a willing to upskill is highly desirable. Cert IV TAE would be required, and if not qualified, willing to attain qualification is mandatory).

  • Design and Technologies - Year 7-10 - (Permanent, Full-time, commencing 22/01/2026)

(Experience with hand tools and machines for metalwork / woodwork, high level of safety consciousness & experience in a trade is highly beneficial)

  • Current full registration or current provisional registration with eligibility for full registration, as a teacher in Queensland.   • Employment for pre-service/graduate teachers will be subject to the successful completion of a relevant teaching qualification and meeting the minimum requirements as a teacher with the department.
