Brisbane State High School has come to symbolise and exemplify the excellence of state school education. We are proud of the great number of past students who have contributed to their state and country through their achievements at the highest levels in public life, sport, business, and the community. Our present students continue this tradition. We pride ourselves on providing a holistic education that enables and empowers young people to make a powerful difference in the world. As a learning community, we are committed to developing young people to achieve their potential intellectually, personally, and socially.
A key component of this role is building positive and productive partnerships with the school community to ensure that students experience curriculum and learning experiences that allow them to reach their potential. This will be achieved through proactively and collaboratively working with the school's leadership team to build a faculty that lives the State High Values of Learning, Excellence, Expertise, and Culture. All teachers should be able to teach across Years 7 - 12, and an additional teaching area is an advantage.
