Your Opportunity

As a teacher in the Refrigeration field, you will:

  • Contribute to the development and delivery of quality VET programs.
  • Work with industry, schools, universities, and other VET providers.
  • Stay current with industry practices, workplace delivery, and contemporary teaching methodologies.
  • Engage in continuous improvement and foster an outcome-focused learning environment.

This position will involve teaching and mentoring students, ensuring they gain the skills necessary to thrive in their future careers. The position is a part of TAFE Queensland’s Talent Pool, allowing consideration for both short- and long-term vacancies.

Mandatory Qualifications/Requirements

  • Vocational competencies at least to the level being delivered and assessed:
  • UEE32220 - Certificate III in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration or similar
  • Training and assessment credentials:
  • TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or its successor); or
  • TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment; or
  • TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment; plus:
  • TAELLN411 or its successor or TAELLN401A; and
  • TAEASS502 or its successor or TAEASS502A or TAEASS502B; or
  • A credential issued by a higher education provider to satisfy the academic requirements for secondary school teacher registration, plus one of the following:
  • TAESS00024 VET Delivered to School Students Teacher Enhancement Skill Set or its successor; or
  • TAESS00019 Assessor Skill Set or its successor; or
  • TAESS00011 Assessor Skill Set; or
  • A diploma or higher-level qualification in adult or vocational education.
  • Current industry skills directly relevant to the training and assessment being provided.
  • Current knowledge and skills in vocational training and learning that informs the training and assessment provided.
  • Evidence of professional development in vocational training, learning, and assessment, including competency-based training.
