Chevalier College seeks applications for this part time (0.5 FTE) temporary 12-month Visual Arts Teacher role for Years 7-10, commencing Term 3 2026 through to end of Term 2 2027.

Role Requirements
At Chevalier College, teachers strategically work in teams to collaboratively plan, prepare, teach, assess and evaluate student learning. As such, the Teacher of Junior Visual Arts will be required to:
- support and assist the mission of Catholic education in the way of Jules Chevalier and the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart (MSC)
- see themselves as learners and be committed to ongoing professional learning
- work collaboratively with other teachers to design learning experiences where students exercise choice to demonstrate knowledge and understanding
- enhance social skills and nurture the growth of enterprise skills including learner agency, self-regulated learning, critical thinking, creativity, communication and collaboration for each student
- use summative data and formative data, including observations, annotations and work samples, to inform ‘next steps’ for key learning outcomes
- demonstrate deep understanding of curriculum which informs subject disciplinary knowledge
- use digital technology as an enabler and accelerator for student and teacher learning
- regularly provide students with feedback as part of the teaching and learning cycle
- be open to growth and development through professional learning experiences which include classroom observations, practice analysis conversations and input from Leaders of Learning and,
- know and apply New South Wales Education Standards Authority (NESA) guidelines.
Other Information
- This role is a temporary 12-month, part time 0.5 FTE position.
- Salary and conditions will be as per the NSW Catholic Independent Schools (Teachers – Model B) Multi-Enterprise Agreement 2023.
- This is a child-related position. Preferred candidates are required to possess a valid a Working With Children Check and will be subject to identification verification.
