Position Information
Nirimba Fields Public School opened for students in Kindergarten to Year 6 at the beginning of 2024. The school is located in the northwest growth corridor of Sydney and is expected to experience rapid growth in enrolments in the first 5 years of operation. The school is currently housed in purpose built temporary facilities located onsite, while construction of the permanent school is underway. Nirimba Fields Public School will also open a new public preschool in 2027, as part of the NSW Government’s commitment to deliver 100 new public preschools. Currently there are 210 students enrolled and enrolment numbers are continuing to grow steadily. There is a rich cultural diversity, with 94% of students having a language background other than English. Located in the Quakers Hill Network of schools, the school is situated on Dharug land and is an active member of the Nurringingy Aboriginal Education Consultative Group (AECG) and the Blacktown Learning Community of schools.

Selection Criteria
- Approval to teach P-6, with the knowledge and understanding to develop and deliver high quality differentiated teaching and learning programs in literacy and numeracy.
- Ability to effectively use data to plan and deliver high quality learning programs that support and extend a diverse range of learners.
- Commitment to whole school wellbeing programs, with a strong emphasis on implementing effective classroom practice and behaviour management strategies that contribute to a positive and inclusive school culture.
- Willingness to undertake extra-curricular activities throughout the school, working as a member of a whole school team and contributing to a positive and professional school culture.
Conditions
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
