Wellard Village Primary School (PS) is centred on a culture of powerful relationships where all key stakeholders work collaboratively for positive student outcomes. We are looking for staff who are team oriented, highly collaborative and possess an ability to work in a team.
Wellard Village PS has a culture of excellence in teaching and learning. Our staff have a shared understanding of contemporary quality teaching and whole school pedagogy. Our pedagogical framework focuses on explicit teaching, evidence-based practice, play based learning and inquiry (Kath Murdoch). It is aligned to the Department of Education Quality Teaching Framework, and we utilise universal design for learning, to enact our inclusive philosophy.
Developing the whole child is a priority for our staff. Together we ensure that we balance curriculum delivery with social and emotional learning and physical health and wellbeing. The Role
The successful applicant will ideally show the professional knowledge, practices and experience to deliver an engaging and relevant primary school Music curriculum. As part of this role, you will ideally self-reflect and assess the effectiveness of their teaching practice, promote an environment of active and positive learning, and provide educational opportunities and activities which enable students to achieve their highest potential. With excellent organisational skills and effective interpersonal skills, you would work closely with students, teachers, and the community to achieve the best educational outcomes for students.

- hold an eligible teacher qualification and registration.

- consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit before you start.
