Position Information
Merrylands High School is a comprehensive coeducational secondary school (enrolment 790 students, including 80% students from a non-English speaking background). The school’s strategic directions include, ‘raising expectations and enhancing the quality of student learning’, ‘fostering quality teaching and leadership’ and ‘Effective Communication and Connections’. There is a strong focus on academic achievement, student engagement, Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL), innovative technology, meaningful community participation and whole school professional learning aligned to school’s strategic directions.

Selection Criteria
- Approval to teach Mathematics Years 7-12.
- Demonstrated capacity to develop and implement innovative classroom strategies, differentiation and assessment to engage and improve student outcomes for all students.
- Capacity to lead whole school initiatives and programs.
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents.
Conditions
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
