At Immanuel Primary School, we are committed to providing education where each child is supported to grow and develop as a whole person.

We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated School Counsellor to join our school community in a 0.6-0.8 FTE (negotiable) position to commence in July 2026.

This role will work collaboratively to provide emotional, social, and wellbeing support to students, staff, and families, aligned with the Christian values and ethos of our school.

As a School Counsellor, you will:

• provide evidence-based counselling practices and wellbeing support to students across all year levels
• offer guidance and support to families and staff in managing student wellbeing
• collaborate with teachers, school leaders and external professionals to support student needs
• contribute to a safe and nurturing school environment that reflects our Christian community

We are looking for someone with:

• a relevant qualification in psychology, counselling, or social work (registration with an appropriate professional body is required)
• a genuine commitment to supporting students’ emotional and mental wellbeing
• demonstrated strengths in communication, relationship building and teamwork
• the ability to work collaboratively with staff, students and families

Immanuel Primary is a school of the Lutheran Church of Australia established in 1970.

It is located on the same campus as Immanuel College Novar Gardens, in the western suburbs of Adelaide, 5 minutes from Glenelg beach and 12 minutes from the city centre.
